When I started the Joker and the Thief animation, I had alot of aspirations, things I wanted to do with the animation and the story, but restraints in the forms of 5 minute limit, VCE and time-management, left the final project only a seed for something I wanted much more out of. While I still get satisfaction from it after all these years, I have been throwing around ideas in my head about making a sequel or a prequel using the initial ideas. Gathering muses over the years a new story started to form in my head involving the protagonist, Joker, that couldn't quite fit with the storyline of the original animation project, but still was involved with the basic synopsis of the same. Now with a fresh idea, motivation, a rough script and a few storyboards, I'm about to embark on a recreation of Joker and the Thief!

Like how the original had the 2D/3D artistic balance, this one will have the balance of traditional art with digital art. Also like the original there won't be any dialogue, and it will mostly be musically driven. Music choice is uncertain at the moment, however it will not be using Wolfmother's "Joker and the Thief".

My plan is to finish the script and most of the storyboards this weekend, work really hard for the next couple of months to get it done and dusted by April 2010.

However, this project is looking really involved in terms of detail, and i need alot of help to make it a reality!

So far has said she can offer some time to work on some of the traditional art, but I would love some extra help.

-3D Animator
-SFX animator
